Can't Set Timeout Length

Using 2.2.0.182 to dual boot Win 7 and Ubuntu 12.10. Haven't used Ubuntu for quite awhile so had it set to Skip Boot Menu to go straight to Win 7. When I tried to allow Ubuntu again, couldn't set the timeout length; it was greyed out at 30 sec. How to fix?
